It's still in the news with no explanation for the birds or for the dead fish. A representative from the fish & wildlife department was just on the news and says the birds shows signs of blunt force trama while in the air!

It was obviously a Romulan space vessel with a cloaking device!

Should we start a poll for explanations?

A freak hailstorm could explain the bird kill but I haven't enough imagination to speculate what would kill the fish as well.

Evil spirits or a liberal conspiracy might be blamed. :)

Doesn't this sort of thing happen at least once a year at the hideout??

I'd say it's a big coincidence that the fish and birds were close to each other. If there was a way to kill off only one specific kind of animal without affecting others we could finally get rid of all those gobies in lake ontario.

This is exactly how rumors and misinformation are propagated. I live not thirty minutes from Beebe (dead birds) and I can tell you with unequivocal certainty there hasn't been a Romulan around here since '78. I expected better from you, Pirate.

We have both in abundance here, but speculation is the birds' trauma was the result of a hailstorm or fireworks. The drum died from disease. They just aren't prepared to say what kind yet. Samples have been sent to the aquaculture department at UAPB (school in the southern part of the state) for analysis. Results are expected in three-ish weeks. Pretty crazy.

Oh yea - I was at that secret security briefing. Certainly no Romulans in Arkansas (wink, wink).

I can't believe no one picked up the simple fact that it was the bees that attacked the birds. The birds were just in the wrong place. They were in Beebe for crying out loud. :D

Joking aside, they said it might be caused by a hail storm but I thought birds sleep at night. What are they doing flying around at midnight? Now, there are reports of the same thing in LA and KY only in smaller number. I think the freakishly warm NYE temps might have something to do with it or some jackwagon dropped them from a plane to riled up the 2012 believers.
