Blew my Lower Unit I think (pics included). Need help replacing

Ok so got some more information from the marina this morning. The model # of my motor is not for counter rotating, someone put a counter rotating lower unit on it, hence part of this confusion. He told me the CORRECT lower unit model # should be 5009368 for counter rotating. All the ones I am finding are 5007670. The link below says that "

Superseded by 5009368"​

Does this mean i should be able to use 5007670? Or the fact that it was superseded means there were issues with the older one (5007670)?

Yes as long as driveshaft is same length
