I have a 2014 Harris Flotebote Sunliner. Today, while on the lake, I noticed a blinking symbol in the upper left of the engine hour guage. It appeared to be two small squares on top of each other. I checked the owner manual and found no reference to this. Does anyone know what this blinking symbol means. I'm wondering if this is some sort of alert/warning that I need to be aware of and pay attention to. Thanks.

Welcome aboard.

It has nothing to do with the boat. You need to look at the manual for the motor.

That blinking symbol may be nothing more than an indication that the clock is running (sort of like the second hand on a watch). Hour meters are typically nothing more than a clock that displays a numerical display of accumulated hours. The clock typically runs only when the key is on and it doesn't matter if the engine is running or not. Because of this, hour meters are easily defeated and really sort of worthless. ECU's on new engines maintain all sorts of run-time and engine condition information so that information is far more valuable than a garden variety hour meter.
