1993 bayliner classic 23ft tiny blisters everywhere on bottom ...I'm sanding off all gelcoat under water line. Could I replace the gelcoat with primer then barrier paint then antifouling paint? In that order? Or do I have to re-gelcoat? Thanks in advance any input is appreciated! !!

as you paint it with antifouling paint why don't you just fill the holes with thickened Epoxy, sand it flush and then paint over it? You want to make sure that no water gets to the glass fibers as it would be sucked in deeper.

Re: Blisters bottom re-gel?

If I just ground out and filled all the blisters I would have to fill 500 blisters... I don't trust the old gel coat I've already send the gel coat off on the the bottle area does anybody have any advice on my original question???

Use a 2 part epoxy barrior coat on the bare fiberglass. You can put A-F over it. Read instructions careflly as cure time for epoxy paint is temp dependent.

You will want to fill any pot holes in hull first....
