I see these post around but still really dont have a definitive. The PN's are different So i guess the answer is NO. Here's what I'm facing.
My running 1993 broke a ring. I took it apart. My machine shop said holes are not in spec and not round. I do have a 1989 90 block, and a 1984 115 Block---unknown conditions...any chance I could use one if in spec after cleaning and honing?
I bet best answer is going to be using my block, take it down .020 + and re-ring and pistons. Its all apart, cleaned and ready. I'm just about there. I can get a piston set for $280. He wants 350.00 for boring work.
But wanted thoughts on attempting to use another block.
