Basically i got a problem where someone who owned my boat before me had to modify the motor so it was a long shaft. Basically the guy stuck the block off the short shaft onto the long shaft but the bolts where too short and the block was only fastened to 4 out of the 8 bolts. I pulled one of the bolts out which have threads on both ends where one thread goes into the motor to show my problem how there to short. My parts supplier told me he can get me the longer bolts no worries at all but he needs either a serial from which the long shaft is from or a part number ;)

Thats where i need you guys to help.. The picture is basically with the under cowl cover removed and it shows how it is. I definately need longer bolts at least another 2cm longer :) and i need 4 of them

So guys can yous help me.. This is the last stage of my boat restoration (and putting the motor back together) :D I really wanan get back on the water its spring in Australia and summer starts soon ;D

Y2J
over in WA we have a company called sweetman fasteners. Im not sure if they are australia wide, but the can often come up with the sort of thing you are after.

here's their web address
http://www.sweetmanfasteners.com.au/

All they do are nuts/bolts etc and are generally really helpful.
You might have a similar company over your way that you could try out if all else fails.

Hope this helps.

Cheers
Troy

Y2J

The weather over here has been really nice. I drive over a causeway onto an island every day to work. The water has been flat as just lately. Just wish the boat was in better shape. not to worry though - plenty of good weather ahead :)
Glad to see you've had time to work on the boat coming up to summer :D

You must have access to some steel rods that you can cut and thread to make your own studs?

TMD
