Hi Guys:

I have an interesting problem. Two trailers, one boat. I'm planing to block the boat in my shop, pull the single axle out and put the tandem under. I don't know how to block it up. To answer the inevetible questions, River is to low, drive is already off and know one in town will lift it and do the transfer. I am a carpenter and have air tools. I'm sure someone has done this successfully and I would like some ideas on how I could do this safely with out dropping the girl on the floor. The boat is in my sig. Thanks, Ken

lower trailer toung as far as you can.......block the transom of the boat........raise toung of trailer....block keel......move trailer....keep raising and lowering the toung and re blocking till the trailer axels are clear of the blocks.

I've never done it, but I believe it's a matter of supporting the boat, moving the trailer, moving the supports, moving the trailer, moving the supports, moving the trailer - until you have it completely free. Just make sure to support it in the correct areas for your boat. Generally, the keel takes the weight, and supports outboard are to balance it.

Chuck it on your lawn that way it can't fall down, once you've finished you will wonder what all the fuss was about.

use two engine hoists to pick up the transom by the lift eyes, then block up. use a single hoist in the front to lift, then block that up, or support by overhead hoist with slings

Well I got her blocked up today. Yesterday I blew my back and was layed up all day. By morning the spasams had gone away, almost, and I was able to putter away and get it done. Here is a few pictures. Thanks for your advice everbody. Some of you will notice I was looking at pictures.

Thanks Ken
