If I blow compressed air through the PS line, will it blow any remaing water back through the water inlets on the stern drive? Will this in any way damage the cooling system?

I for the life of me cannot find the drain plug on the PS cooler. I disconnected the hose and aimed it down in the bilge, but only a little water came out. I was hoping the purge any remaing water by blowing it out.

You can but its not going to get all the water out.
I hold the rubber hose that goes to the PS cooler up high and pour anti-freeze in it until it runs out of the drive. I do the same with the thermostat housing and the water pump hoses.open the block drains and pour AF in until it runs out of the drains. The 2 hoses going to the exhaust manifolds get the same thing.
AF gives it anti-corrosive better than leaving it dry.

There are several different ways to do it but i have never had one freeze doing it this way.
