What would cause the ignition fuse to continuously blow when the switch is left on? Must have been a problem for a while because I found alot of 5A fuses laying around in the boat from the previous owner.

Without knowing what that 5A fuse goes to, who knows. Can you let us in on some engine information, like model, year, type. Full model numbers are best.

Ooops, sorry Don. 1992 230A I tried to trace this wire from the fuse box, no luck yet. I am pretty sure that it has something to do with the ignition, if it blows the boat won't start.

Re: Blowing fuse?

Book shows an 8A fuse, so try an 8 or 10A fuse. The 5A may be right on the borderline if the amperage the circuit uses.
