Blowing Fuses

I just rewired my boat (1964) it had no fuses before, so I decided to install this fuse block:

So, I hooked up my power wires, seemed good. Hit the horn button, it honked for a second then fuse blew (2 amp).
Hit my choke switch, it choked for a second, then fuse blew (4amp).

How do I go about finding the short?

Sounds like you have too much protection.....

Most horns draw more than 2 amps

Check the working load on the items and see if 2 and 4 amp fuses are too small.

Yup -- too small a fuse on the horn for sure. The choke may be close but stilltoo small. If you used 16 gauge wire you could safely use a 7.5A fuse for testing purposes. If it holds, then leave it. If not, there is definitely a wiring issue.

ah sounds good, thanks . I just tried those two things and decided I better not try anything else till I figure out whats wrong. I'll try some bigger fuses.
