How easy is it to blow the starter solenoid?

Outside of taking a hammer to it, pretty hard. But they do go bad.

Probably 99.9% of "blown" solenoids are replaced unnecessarily. The real problem is usually somewhere else.

EDIT: Great for the people making new solenoids, but kind of sad really because it is so easy to test one before replacing it.
