When i start up my merc 500 with thunderbolt ignition it starts running. While it is running there are sometimes coming blue flames out of the exhaust.

Does anybody now what this is and how it is coming?

Is it possible that it is from the sparkplugs that are a little fatty?

Or is it because i hev cleaned the engine?

I turned it of right away because i didn't now if it could harm the engine.

Does someone else had this?

Every kind of feedback is welcom.

With a lightly inflamable brake/carb/engine cleaner, it is a Dutch fabric.

Is it possible that there is something left in the engine and it has to to come out while running and that that couses a blue flame sometimes.

Or is it something else?

The brake cleaner is what is causing your blue flame. There is likely puddles of it still in the crank case. You will have removed all of the lubrication that is in the engine by cleaning it with brake cleaner. I would suggest that you get some fogging oil and fog your engine. Then restart it and let it run at idle,no high speed. It will be very smokey but that will clear up. Do not use brake cleaner to clean your engine.

The irony here is that it's hard to get a nice blue flame on purpose!! lol

Seriously though I hope that there is nothing wrong after the fogging because it's a shame if you took the time to take care of your engine and keep it clean and created an issue.
