blue spark

I have a 1977-70hp evinrude, and when I checked the spark with a sparkgap tester(homemade), it has spark over the 7/16 gap. The spark is not blue to me as has been described by many. Is it possible to have a spark across the gap but still be weak?

It may look weak in day light but if it's stepping across the 7/16" gap, it's probably ok.<br /><br />c/6<br /><br />Hooty

Yes...and sometimes it will appear white with Johnson or Evinrude product.<br /><br />TMD
