Friday the 17th Of Dec.
WE went to the inlet and caught ZIP.
So we went out in the ocean to a spot not too farout and ZIP.
Then we saw the birds working in closer to the shore.
WE move in and they were chasing a small baitfish about 2in long.
WE tried casting but had better luck with fishing pieces of anything on the bottom.
We caught over 20 in about an hour.It was so good we figure just catchin what we had was enough.So we quit and went in early.
A couple just at the 12in line and we lost some to a pelican that was very PUSHY.In fact he just about had my fishing partner beat.He stole a 16in blue and then a 6in seabass.
'When he grabbed the bass he was right next to the boat and the hook came out of the fish and all of a sudden we had a pelican on.
We ended up wrestling the bird to the boat and having to remove the hook from his beak.
He just looked at us like we were bird molesters or something.
Needless to say he didn't come near us again.GOOD!!!
