I have one and love it. My is the H-700 by Motorola. You can find it and other at all the big stores. Do yourself a favor and dont buy it from the cell company. It will be double in price. The only thing mine cannot do is hang up after you are talking to an answering machine or voicemail.

hmmmmmmmm, was looking at a h500 and the paperwork said to just tap the call button to make a call and tap it again to end the call.

My Moto Bluetooth works the same way, I use the voice calling feature of my phone too. I tap the button, hear a chirp, say "Call Home" and it dials the number. Tap button again to end the call.

Re: Bluetooth?

I have one of the cheaper models Plantronics offers. It works fine with my Palm Treo 700W and even better with my Motokrzr. I am not one of the types that keeps it permanently installed in my ear wherever I go but it is nice for driving. It holds a charge for a long time too.

The Bluetooth wireless earpieces are often referred to as a "bluetooth". There's actually a bit more to it than that. Here's some more reading for those wanting to learn a little more...

Re: Bluetooth?

The management in my company uses them. It is great for them, but being on the receiving end of someone that has them really is a pain for me. They pick up background noise, screech and squeal when trying to listen to the conversation. They got one for me to use, but don't like the thing hanging from my ear. Of course with my job, sometimes things hanging from you is a saftey hazard.

If they could eliminate the background clutter of noise, I wouldn't have any other complaints about them.

Re: Bluetooth?

I had the H500 and moved to the H700. I too have problems with the anwsering machine. I push the button hear the beep and minutes later the answering machine cuts me off. The H500 would hang up on people when I went to answer the call.

My wife loves it when I have been telling other drivers how I feel about their driving.

Re: Bluetooth?

I have an old Jabra one that's probably 3 years old. It works well for me. I only use it in the car and I wouldn't be without it.

Re: Bluetooth?

I have the Motorola Q through Sprint, which I bought primarily for texting purposes......but also because it had Windows Media player built in and a card slot (quite a few phones have this). I just pop the card into the card reader on my PC, put a bunch of music on it and put it back into the phone.

Originally I bought headphones for it, but I eventually lost them. They are 2.5mm, so you will need an adapter or special headphones for cell phones........I actually purchased bluetooth headphones instead and LOVE them. My phone is playing a playlist in my pocket, and I have no wires to worry about. The headset I have also acts as a mic and earpiece for phone calls. That in itself is great for driving.

Re: Bluetooth?

I never wanted to be one of those guys with their bluetooth always on them like "bling"; but owning my own business, it is often quite important not to miss a call. I now have a Plantronics that allows me to answer calls while I continue to work; before, I was always having to stop what I was doing to take a call.
