On the lake today. Several hours, both engines were monitored, temp and oil pressure ok. Stopped for a bit, started up, port engine alarm went off.Saw temp at 200.Shut it down, went in one one engine. Tried tom start, twice on way in, both times it would start but alarm sounded, we shut engine down. At dock, checked engine compartment , noticed a large amount of greenish water (anti]freeze ?)Later at dock, temp was about 120, tried to start, turned key nothing .

Never heard of a Bluewater engine, so I'm guessing you have a pair of Chrysler Hemis with 671 GMC blowers and dual quads on top. LOL

Right or wrong? This needs to moved to the right section because it isn't related to Steering and Controls no matter how much AF is leaking.

Didn't try to put it in steering, my bad, The engines are Mercury 5.7 ,closed cooling, inboards. They are referred in the owners manual as being Bluewater. At least that is what I have read. I am unaware of the procedure to move this, as I said ,I didn't intentionally put it in steering. If I am creating a problem, it was not my intent, feel free to delete me.

The reason for asking was to get you help. This is in the Mercruiser section now.

My boating bud owns a Bluewater w/twin 350 GM Cruisers engines. He also owns a Merc. 350 Mag Gen II runabout, So I'll venture a response, stretching forum rules. He has had overheating problems resulting from loose seawater strainer gaskets. Also Zebra mussels in the strainer hull intake. Also seaweed in the same place. Seaweed and algae are green. Clean your strainer bowl and basket. Then close your hull petcock, and have a dock garden hose ready. Remove the hull intake hose from the strainer, open the petcock, and back flush the heck out of the hull intake. I've seen this work, and maybe it will for you too.

.... At dock, checked engine compartment , noticed a large amount of greenish water (anti]freeze ?)... .

As these are Mercrusier 'Bluewater' series engines, they are close cooled. Any coolant in the bilge needs to be investigated. Get an automotive radiator tester and pressurize the system up, see where it's leaking...
