Re: Boarding by authorities
Hey plywoody

The "safety check" is just part of the ruse IMO, since they always ask to see the boat registration and then slowly walk to around the bow, verifying the numbers (my boat is 2 yrs old).

Although courteous, they alway seem to have a keen nose and scanning eye, which really adds to to the waste of my very valuable recreation time. I've got nothing to hide, it's just extremely annoying.

It's really about CONTROL and justifying a bloated bureaucracy, in the name of "safety".

Maybe I'm sensitive on this issue, but it does not add to my fun being under suspicion every trip to the lake.

Marty
