Can anyone help me guess what this boat and trailer weigh together and separate? The trailer is aluminum. I'm trying to figure out if a 1994 Toyota pickup with a 6 cylinder, and four wheel drive will be pull the boat out of the water and down the road. Thanks for your help.

take the whole thing to a truck scale and weight it, you can do the tongue also. that pickup with the tow package is rated, I think, at 5000, with the right equipment of course. or it will be at 3500. I have a 2002 2wd, 4 banger 5 speed and it is at 3500. it tows my boat ok on flat land, my boat is around 3300. but I don't think it will pull it out of the water, I don't want to blow the clutch so I won't try it. gotta a suburban for the boat

According to NADA I doesn't look like the Saturn 2 was made in 18', only 19'.

Net wt. 2400lb

Your Taco should have no trouble at all.
Biggest issue will be stopping distance if you don't have trailer brakes.

My boat net wt. is 2175 and has often been pulled with my brother's '87 Toyota 4x4 with a 2.4L. It's excellent on the ramp. 2 Low works like a charm (no need to lock the hubs).
Obviously it's not ideal for highway towing, but it did fine on a 60mi round trip to the lake 5-10 times a summer for a couple years. Holding 60mph w/o a lot of trouble.

My primary tow vehicle is a '95 Montero with a 3.0L -- Works real well. Again, you just have to be conscious of additional stopping distance.

yd be supprized of what some small cars and truck can pull...not that you want to use a smaller car or truck for long distances...i have a 18ft century 3.0 merc..i tow with a 1990 jeep 6 cyl 4x4 with 200,000 miles ..fully loaded i mean 5 people coolers full tanks of gass and it pulls up and down hills and out of the water like nothing

The biggest issue is does the trailer have brakes?
Heck a small car can pull the boat but stopping is your biggest concern. My 19 footer behind my Chevy Tahoe is a bear to stop without trailer brakes. If you ever need to stop fast your in trouble. It will happen, some idiot will pull out in front of you..

Then there is the "tail wagging the dog" scenario. Lots of small vehicles will pull fairly heavy loads. Stopping, control in windy conditions, and emergency manuevers can prove disastrous.

You don't need trailer rakes for a boat that small.

I towed a 17' w120 outboard from Virginia to Florida using a 95 Jeep Cherokee (not the Grand Cherokee)
That's 960 miles on I-95.

The boat was filled with tools and ladders as well.

Not one bit of difficulty. Plenty of power left and stopping was easy.

That was supposed to be "brakes".

Well, Gee, what good does it do to move a post to a different forum if it's still going to pop to the top of the wrong forum.
Just another Bick in the Wall.

the people saying the trailer doesn't need brakes, obviously don't tow with a pick up truck. they are notoriously light in the tail end, rainy slick roads, they have a tendency to get the tail in front of the head in emergency situations. i know been driving pickups for 40 years. the newer truck are better with ABS, but i still want trailer brakes.

If the boat & trailer combined weight is over 3000 lb's, which they appear to be, the trailer needs brakes by law in most states. Kentucky is one of the states that appears to not put a weight limit on trailer brakes from what I could find.
