I've seached on this topic and settled on Formula 303 being one of the better products to protect vinyl, but what about all metal hardware (i.e., cleats, latches etc...). What products/techniques work well to protect these items from the effects of salt water? Any other boat care tips would be welcome as well.

I use formula 303 on vinyl, plexiglass, gelcoat, plastic windows. I assume it would work as well on metals.I use lemon oil on my stainless and it works great and is very cost effective.Salt cant stick to it.Charlie
