I am finishing up my boat floor replacement. It is a nasty and expensive job but it is turning out well. Thank you for the help through this forum. I am nearing time to install the carpet. Any suggestions on product and suppliers? I am not looking for think and plush - just something that is typical of a small bow rider and easy to install. Product, supplier and installation suggestions welcome. Thank you, JBB

I ordered mine off E-bay. I have yet to install it. Typical weight is, I believe, 16 oz. I am going with 20 oz in the Sea Ray. Read a bunch about carpet install and watched some videos on Youtube. Does not look that hard. From all the reading I have done I am going with Roberts 6700 adhesive. If you go that route, just be sure to allow ample time to dry. I think you can just use the standard indoor/outdoor carpet from any big box store.

I bought mine from an online supplier that rhymes with overbuns, not because the price was better than anywhere else, but because I only needed a little and most places had a min order of 10 yards. I went with the 16oz because I'm only putting it on the sides and some other random places. I will be leaving my floor gelcoated, but I would recomment using 20oz if you're doing the floor.

I didn't want to order from them cause I read bad reviews on their site regarding the carpet, so I ordered some generic marine carpet from Amazon for around the same price (give or take) that had excellent reviews on Amazon, turned out to be the same exact product lol.

LOL! honestly, I was just looking for a good price and a small quantity, I wasn't super concerned with the quality since most of its going to be behind side panels and under stuff, so its not going to need to put up with much.

Thank you, all. I see some 16 oz on boatseats.com that looks pretty decent. I think I might need light weigh because I have very little space between the floor and the removable section that is overtop the fuel tank. I also want an easy install as I am getting pretty sick and tired of working on this tub.
