I have a 19' 1994 Chris Craft Concept with a 5.0litre OMC (Ford) with a Cobra Stern Drive. I am taking on some water (about 2-3 inches) in a 8 hour period. Since I am sure it is not coming in through the drain plug my guess is it is coming in through the stern drive. In talking with my local boat servcie shop they stated the water can be coming in from the drive shaft or exhaust bellows, or possibly where the stern drive attaches to the transom. Question I have is does Chris craft use a wood sandwich between fiberglass in their transom or solid fiberglass?

You may be in the wrong forum.. If you're curious about bellows and outdrives, check the I/O forum. If you're curious about the transom, check the restoration forum.

Being it's a '94 I'll venture a guess and say "sandwich" or laminate wood construction on the transom. I don't believe builders started using all composite (no wood) transoms until the late '90's at the earliest.
