Well I checked Iboats for a cover for my Carver and......Carver is not listed....so I call and ask and they do not provide a custom cover for carver falls under generic covers for cruisers.......well I feel a little slighted there is not a cover made to fit so any ideas of where to go for a cover that will fit properly or do I need to find someone to make me a cover to fit the snaps ???

If you're looking to match snaps....it's a custom job for sure. Your yellow pages for "custom canvas" or "marine canvas".

Re: Boat Cover

I too had problems getting a cover due to the specialty of the boat. I contacted Angola Canvas, http://www.angolacanvascompany.com/ , which has more than 7800 patterns in stock, spanning over 140 brands of boats. Mine was for an '82 Cobalt, and they had the pattern! First rate quality too!

Re: Boat Cover

Go custom. Nothing off the shelf (and I've tried several) fits a Carver very well. Mooring covers never seem to have the windshield in the right place, or fit the bow rails properly. If you're looking at a cockpit cover, snaps will never line up as already stated. Custom is really the best way to go, and you can fix the annoying lack of access of the stock cover by having an access zipper installed. Not cheap when done with a proper fabric and thread. But well worth it in the long run in fit and function. Made my life much easier.

Angola Canvas is custom, but does not need the boat since it makes them to your need from the original pattern. Check out their web site.
