Is it not a good idea to dock my boat on the lake with the wake constantly slamming at my transom or what? Its the only spot i have to keep the boat, most on this area of the lake have a hoist to raise their boat out of the water.. mine is sitting in the water and already had some promblems with water in the cylinders .. guessing the flappers are bad..going to get fixed. Should i continue to park my 21ft boat on this lake..? Dont know if i can back in ... gonna be hard tying not to hit the seawall .ANY INPUT ??

Even with perfect shutters (flappers as you call them) they will not stop the constant wave action from getting water into the cylinders.
You might try to rig up some kind of a canvas bag that you could cover the drive and transom shield with that would prevent the waves from pushing up the exhaust. But you will still have the stern of the boat dipping low in the water due to the waves.
Do you have room to add riser extensions?

i spend a week docked on a lake george NY island every summer and it has allways worried me but i have not had a problem

after about 8 years of traveling the lake top to bottom i would say that at least 75% of the boats are stern out even the ones in the really nice boat houses so i have to think that with the right risers and workng shuters you should be fine

tommays
