last week took the boat out with the family and she was fine. she planed within a couple of seconds, good speed. took her out yesterday with family again but this time i stopped to get the bait in the shallows and she didn't ground but i was idling there for a while and tried to back her out. turned her off for a few minutes and when i turned her back on, a horn came on. i couldn't get it to turn off (the alarm). wasn't sure what was going on so i turned her off, turned the battery off and waited. when i turned her on again it sounded for a few seconds and stopped. i thought maybe she got some dirt inside and needed to clean her by running her. was really windy and there was a lot of grass everywhere. tried avoided it while running. stopped for about thirty minutes and when i turned her on to head home she felt different. it wouldn't get on plane anymore. i have a jack plate and tried different heights and she seemed to run better the higher i went. i figured it might be a spun hub. stopped and checked to see if there was any grass blocking and there was some and cleaned it out. stopped three times to clear out grass. still not able to plane. checked to see if it was overheating. didn't get hot at all. but at wot wouldn't get on plane. the bow was up quite a bit and had my son ride toward front to try and bring it down a bit all the way home. what are some things that i could troubleshoot? just had the carbs cleaned a couple of weeks ago and she ran great last week. compression is 120-125 on all cylinders. she is an 18' flats boat with a 90hp evinrude.
