My wife & I have decided to lick the stamp & purchase a new boat!
We will need to finance 60-65k of a $72k vessel. Who did you guys go thru? Best rates, service, easy to deal with? I have a few leads, but I respect the opinions of the more experienced folks on this site.

Thx, Nick 8)

You'll be upside down (owe more than it is worth) in that loan for a long long time. Don't expect great rates or terms on a loan, if you are going to be upside down. Better to find a cheaper boat, or more down payment.

Re: Boat Financing

roscoe,
you're right. will probably be putting more down than stated. We won't be up side down, I hope. We are getting a smoking deal on a 2006 from a factory dealer here (Michigan) because of a defunct dealership on the west coast. The book value of the craft with its options is 12k more than our purchase price. so we're kind of getting a used price on a brand new boat.

tashasdaddy, I tried my credit union, but they were actually higher than I have found elsewhere. thx
