Not really, just cut it to fit and place it in the bottom. Some people go through the extra effort of cutting tons of little triangles to maximize the amount they can fit, others just lay it flat the long way.

I certainly would and also add a piece of PVC pipe to thread wiring.
I was able to fit between 4-5 2" pieces in between each set of ribs, and I left at least one of the centre pieces slightly smaller so they would be raised off the bottom, they are just held up by being glued with PL Premium to the other pieces in that section, that helps water from the sides run to the centre. For the middle section I cut the pentagons, then just cut about 1" off the point, so there is a 1" high by about 3" wide channel running the length of the boat right in the centre.
I wouldn't advise running wiring under the floor unless it was on top of the foam and directly under the floor, seems like it would be a pain to get at if anything needed fixing, you would have to take up the whole floor. I wrapped my floor in separate sections to make it easier to pull up if required, but most rivet the floor down then do a single piece of Nautolex over the whole thing. All that work would be ruined if you had to get at a wire.
