the boat is already fixed, my nephew owns a shop. he says the motor runs fine, idles well and he rebuilt the electric tilt motor.

seats are in good shape, captains chair has a rip in the back and floor behind captains chair is soft, needs replacing.

i was just asking your thoughts as i didn't really want to get into fixing a boat up, but the price was right on this.

'Floor behind Captains chair is soft and needs replacing' and what else soft will you find? Soft spots often end up being full rebuilds. Just letting you know.

Yes, going to motor vehicle after work. Plan on taking it out Saturday to decide if I want to keep it or not. I would want to repair some of the panel wood and about a 2' square piece of floor, it's soft.

Time to do this stuff is always my problem....

and that's what i'm Not interested in doing. TBH the trailer is solid, everything works so if things check out on the water I may just sell it. I'm not that interested in fixing up a boat. Just not.

Soft wood (nearly anywhere) pretty much means saturated foam, rotted stringers, potentially bad transom, and a whole lot more work than simply replacing a 2' piece of wood.....

Ask me how I know:facepalm:

Naaah, don't need to ask, I get your point and you maybe spot on with this one too. I've got 800 bucks into it. May not be the one for me but I'm sure someone who has the time and skill will take interest, as well as get the 800 back.

Hey Jerry great hearing from you! You helped me a lot with my bayliner and the 85hp Force! That was a terrific boat and the motor ran like a top!

This one does too! Had it out Saturday and the darn thing puuurrrrs, smooth as ever!

Sorry to say the guy left it out for a couple years without a cover and that's not smart at all here in NY. Soft spot in the floor and the left panel needs a rebuild. The boat is all there but needs too much woodwork for me... :grumpy:

I'll get some pics up this week.
