i HAVE A TWIN ENGINE 305 INBOARDS. I AM NEW TO TWIN ENGINES. ONE ENGINE IS STALLING. I AM WONDERING ARE THERE HAZARDS TO CRUISING WITH ONE ENGINE. I AM CONSIDERING SAVING GAS BY USING JUST ONE ENGINE, THE GOOD RUNNING ENGINE IS ON THE PORT SIDE. ANY ADVISE ON THIS TOPIC.

YES IT IS SUPPOSED TO RUN ON BOTH.<br />No hazards however you will be dragging 1 dead engine and this will cause a sevre yaw. <br /><br />1. Please stop typing in all caps its like shouting.<br />2. WELCOME to iBOATs!

Ah, good old twin gas <br />#1 If you run on one engine it will be lugging and the boat won't track straight because of the offset power.<br />#2 Because the one engine will be working so hard the fuel savings is minimal at best.<br />#3 Find out what's making it stall and fix it a.s.a.p. Twin gas at displacement speeds isn't too bad on fuel.<br />#4 Docking on one engine is a nightmare if it's at all windy or you have a difficult spot to get into.<br />Give us some details and maybe we can figure out that stalling problem.
