boat hull #'s on sportcraft

does anyone know where the second hull id number might be found on an 1988 202 fisherman? i have the title but the rivets on the stamped plate let go and i lost the stamped hull id numbers<br /><br />thanks in advance

i only know of on spot topright of the transom askyour local d.n.r. or coast gard

if anyone knows of where these numbers are on a galaxy 720 model, think its a 1977 model 18 ft. it would be appreciated. they are not on the plate with model number.

This is what i recently found out the secondary hull# on a sportcraft is going to be somewhate easy to locate. i talked to sportcraft and they shut down in 1989 and have none of the origional employees that still work there so noone knows exactly where it is. i was looking for another plate or stamped letters. but they told me it is a peice of paper with the hull# laminated into the fiberglass. she said to look somewhere on the actual hull not the gunell she said the most common place is like in the bottom of the livewell or a compartment. its going to be somewhere not painted and easily located because this # was designed for the coastguard and marine police. if they were to board your boat and thought it was stolen of had a fake # they can look at this secondary # another way to get the number is to take the boat to marine police and they will run the state registration # and make you a plate
