Look on your transom - upper right side just below the rubrail. There should be a series of number's and letter's. If you have some it can be entered through this site:http://www.uscgboating.org/recalls/mic_database.htm
If there aren't any there the vessel is a pre 1972 and you'll need to dig a lot deeper into any info I have.

Well I bought it. Its a Norris Craft. Needs a new interior, motor, paint and some other stuff. But for $50.00 I couldnt pass it up.

If the windshield is in good shape and see-through you got your $50 worth right there.

Let's just say the windows are there.LOL Heres a couple of pics. Can anyone tell the year? I enter the number into the link gcboat gave but it didnt show any records. It needs work but I like the older style boats. What ever they used on the transom is ugly but it seems solid but I will replace whatever they did.

the vintage of the bow light is the 60's. and the old air guide speedo. could be one of the first tri hulls.

That's a beauty.....IF beauty is in the eye of the beholder (and the beholder is blind)! j/k Good luck, you are basically starting from scratch so you can rebuild it how you want. For $50 why not if you like working on them.

Hey that is a nice start... I too just bartered for an oldie. I believe it is an Aristo Craft very early 60's 16' wGale sovereign 60. last run 2 seasons ago.

here's my mine. I would enjoy keeping intouch with others "rebuilding" similar boats

Re: Boat id if possible

It's fairly similar to mine in construction. Shouldn't be too hard to seperate if you have to. It appears to have an integral transom/splashwell like mine but it's hard to tell from the pics. If so, it'll be a lot less complicated.

When I separated mine it was pretty well attached at the stern so I cut it to get it out. I learned after the fact that if I'd worked with it some more I could have got it all in one piece. Not only did I give myself a lot of unnecessary work to do, I'm really not sure if I'll be able to join it back together where I cut it without being able to see the joint. :(

Pics of mine
