Look on your transom - upper right side just below the rubrail. There should be a series of number's and letter's. If you have some it can be entered through this site:http://www.uscgboating.org/recalls/mic_database.htm
If there aren't any there the vessel is a pre 1972 and you'll need to dig a lot deeper into any info I have.
Let's just say the windows are there.LOL Heres a couple of pics. Can anyone tell the year? I enter the number into the link gcboat gave but it didnt show any records. It needs work but I like the older style boats. What ever they used on the transom is ugly but it seems solid but I will replace whatever they did.
That's a beauty.....IF beauty is in the eye of the beholder (and the beholder is blind)! j/k Good luck, you are basically starting from scratch so you can rebuild it how you want. For $50 why not if you like working on them.
Hey that is a nice start... I too just bartered for an oldie. I believe it is an Aristo Craft very early 60's 16' wGale sovereign 60. last run 2 seasons ago.
here's my mine. I would enjoy keeping intouch with others "rebuilding" similar boats
It's fairly similar to mine in construction. Shouldn't be too hard to seperate if you have to. It appears to have an integral transom/splashwell like mine but it's hard to tell from the pics. If so, it'll be a lot less complicated.
When I separated mine it was pretty well attached at the stern so I cut it to get it out. I learned after the fact that if I'd worked with it some more I could have got it all in one piece. Not only did I give myself a lot of unnecessary work to do, I'm really not sure if I'll be able to join it back together where I cut it without being able to see the joint.
