Does anybody know who the manufacturer of this boat is? I cant find a badge or name anywhere. You can't really tell from the picture, but the sides at the rear of the boat start to flare outward at the top. Thanks for your help.

Re: Boat ID

The title says 1961 Evin.....I'm assuming that stands for evinrude, not the boat. Ya I think that trailer will work:lol:

Re: Boat ID

Lots of Tin manufacturers to look through here.

Classic Boat Library

My first thought was a Lone Star.

You might be able to match up width and length to find a match.

Re: Boat ID

Thanks osby, it does look alot like that Lone Star Malibu. Hawker, the only problem is the title has an HIN # but I cant find it anywhere on the boat. I have a feeling this may be a problem if I get checked.

Re: Boat ID

You nailed it osby, i'm 99.9% sure its a 1960 Lone Star Malibu. I just purchased a 1956 Evinrude 30 hp big bwin with an Outboard Jets unit. Its pretty much a flat bottom so I think it should work fine. What do you guys think?

Re: Boat ID

A Malibu, cool. They can be hard to ID.

Found an ad showing the seat and a small handle that helped me ID mine.

If there is a HIN it usually RH upper side of the transom as standing at the back of the boat. Early boats didn't have them all the time.

The State of MI assigned a HIN when I registered my Lone Star. I made a number plate and riveted to the boat.

Motor should look great on that, keeps it a classic. I would guess speed would be high 20's maybe touch 30. Looks like it's rated up to a 45hp.
