i am working on a earlier model 23' ranken fishing boat with a 350 inboard motor where would the tag or imprint of the year, model and serial # be located at.

On my 1983 Renken 900 there was a serial number imprinted on the starboard side of the upper corner of the transom, a serial number tag and a separate Coast Guard plate on the inside of the port side gunwale, directly opposite of the motor controls.
