Hi, I have a 2008 Larson 228 LXI. My fat ass broke the ladder off stern of boat. It pulled out all 4 screws nice and neatly! There is no way to put a backing plate to secure ladder as it’s a one piece body mild without access to area! so I was wondering best approach?! My theory is a commercial adhesive ( pl600) with an over sized re drilled lag bolt ( stainless) or a butterfly bolt with adhesive?! Thoughts????

There should be an aluminum plate bedded in the fiberglass for the screws to thread into

I hate when boat OEMs do that. My neighbor's 27 foot BW Outrage has that issue.

Can you drill an access hole thru the cap, to install washers and locknuts? There are a variety of plugs, hatches etc, to cover the access holes, to clean it up. You really want bolts......

Often there is a space beneathe the swim deck that can be accessed from inside the engine compartment. Perhaps you could access the underside where the swim ladder attached and do through bolts (as they should be done). Adhesives won't hold . . . too much force on the attachment points.

I've never seen an access to a swim platform from the motor well. The reason is because the platform is bolted to the hull and both have flat edges butting up to each other. You could possibly cut a circular hole as an access hole just beside the ladder and make sure you have a cover to screw back over it. Or you could slightly adjust the ladder forward, backward or sideways which ever works and use the same size or bigger bolts to put back in
