Hi all has anyone had problems with there .I bought a new 2005 630 sd in march this year since the day i picked her up it has leaked. It has had a major scuppers leak on both sides of the engine this is now fixed But on my trip out one week after the scupper repair i found a leak in the engine bay in one hour out at sea or with the engie runing the water comes in at about 1 inch After 5 mounths of complaining to the importer and the place of purches and two surveys thay find that it the transom plate leaking also the hull now has water in the core and transom . The moister meter on the boat hull /transom was reading 05 to over 100 and also the boat sits in the water lower now .

Re: BOAT LEAK

Odd, over here the dealer fixes the boat under the warranty. I think dealers then can get reimbursed by the manufacturer for warranty work done. Not sure how it works over there...especially since you are saying "importer" and not "dealer". I thought that MPE imported those boats and that you would still have a dealer.

Re: BOAT LEAK

Hi bayman THANKS FOR REPLY

The importer brings in the boats from poland he then lets the dealers arround the uk to sell them.
As i bought a new boat that is a boat that was free from any defects ? and with all the problems with this boat i would have thought that marine power would not like the bad press that has started on this subject. All i am looking for is a replacement boat as the one i have got has leaked since the day i picked it up and also has two other leaks as well As it is at the moment i got a boat in the marina that i cannot use.
p s hows the weather over there its raining and starting to be cold here

Re: BOAT LEAK

Croeso Jamesy,

You're being given the runaround. UK law states clearly that if you buy the product new it should be free from any material defect that affects its use. The supplier is fully responsible.

A boat that takes on water while standing still in the stuff sure has a major material defect. Where's a boat sposed to be, anyway? It's sposed to sit in the water and be watertight! That's why you bought it.

Go to Trading Standards first, and tell them your problem. They love guys like your dealer. They'll sort him out.

Is there really a Cwmbram that ends with an 'M' and not an 'N'?

Re: BOAT LEAK

Check it for leaks!

Tell the dealer before accepting the boat that if this one is faulty you want your money back. That way, you're covered if things go wrong.
