I have a 1990 cajun 174 boat and it seems to be taking on water. I have checked the hull and re sealed the engine bolt holes. I have also sealed with silicone any other pieces on the boat.

What i am thinking now it is leaking were the two halves of the boat were joined under the rub rail. I seen were it has been sealed but it is cracking. I was wondering if anyone knows the best way to seal this i was thinking PL premium it is strong and waterproof and bonds to anything. I am going crazy trying to find this leak. Were the two halves meet can be the only place the join at the back gets alot of water on it .

ANY IDEAS ???????

Re: Boat leaking

Had the same problem & i too looked at the rubrail last :(
I peeled/cleaned the old off & used a good (forget name) clear silicon to re caulk:cool:
As long as it seals & waterproof you should be OK -
