I have a significant lean to the port side with myself and one passenger in the boat while under power. steering also pulls to that side. I have a 19 ft., aluninum, fish& ski with a 90 hp. Force outboard. I know loading has a big effect and I have tried to balance that. I have enough power -it just pulls to one side. Does the exhaust snout on the engine need to be adjusted? I know it can be. If so, which way does it need to be rotated toward?<br />Thanks for nay reply.

I don't know what kinda lean you are talking about, but every boat I have ever been on had a slight lean when you gas it, including the USS Hartford, USS Philidelphia, and my little Mark Twain. It is because of the rapid acceleration and the direction of the spin of your prop. Does it ever settle out after you maintain a constant speed.

I need to apply constant pressure to the steering wheel to the right to keep going straight.

When standing behind your motor and looking at the snout, you want to move it to the side that the boat is pulling. In your case, loosen the nut and push the snout to port.
