On a whim I found this on RICL No windshield but it has a Yamaha, is glass, and by the iboats specs pages the hull weighs in at 525 (provided it isn't water logged) Don't know what the motor weighs but I'm sure google could tell ya and you can guesstimate the trailer

Point being I'd just start surfing CL and see what you tickles your fancy.
A 13' - 15' Whaler is just what I had in mind ... capable boat, and should tow pretty easily. Tough to find though ... good call TDF.

Add for fuel, bat, anchor n rope, cooler, bait n tackle n gear, etc.

Not saying it wouldn't work tho since trailer doesn't need to weigh anywhere near 750

there is absolutely no reason for the trailer to be 750 lbs of a 2000 lb rig....

concur-- the trailer under our '07 Bayliner 175, I could lift one whole side myself, and I'm hardly a Charles Atlas type! I wouldn't be able to budge a 700# trailer...

Speaking of Bayliner 175's, not sure what year I found this info for but looks to be current:
Weight: 1923#
weight with trailer: 2396#
(which means the trailer weighs 473# ...)

My first fiberglas boat was a 16' 1971 Silverline - deep V, closed bow, back-to-back sleeper seats, split walk-thru windshield, twin stern jump seats, battery and 2-6 gal gas tanks. The trailer was a Sterling bunk / roller / tilt bed. The engine was an Evinrude lark. Factory reported weights for all the items were 925, 40, 90, 320 and 154, respectively. The trailer capacity was 1500 lbs. The towcar was a Ford Falcon with a 115 HP L-6 and a 3-spd manual tranny and a class 1 hitch.

Add it all up - 1529# actual with an 1820# GVW rating.

I haven't looked at current boat weights, so I don't know if they are heravier now or not. What I DO know is the boat was outstanding and I wish I still had her...
