Re: Boat Lettering

I got my lettering from Iboats and each side came on it's own sheet with backing paper.

After cleaning and wetting down the surface I used the boat graphics as a straight edge and held it in place with pieces of masking tape. Using the supplied plastic scrape I squeegeed from the middle out to the ends then top to bottom. Had a bubble or two and used a pin to get the trapped air out.

Be sure you clean it and buff it out really well before you put you lettering on. Can't go back and do that later.

Well, I meant a shop that can computer cut vinyl, if your buddy made street signs I don't know that he will be of much help.

I live in a small town and there are 3 different shops within a half hour of me.

Re: Boat Lettering

Well, here it is.
I taped it up first. The lettering is a little bigger than I envisioned. No big deal. I took my time, it was fairly easy. I worked slowly from the middle out. I still have one or two tiny bubbles yet. I figured I go back and try and work 'em out before popping them with a pin.
The last shot is Branman1971 - he gets the credit for coming up with the name. As you can see, he's got something going on with my Cobra.;)
