boat loses electrical power

High I have a boat with a 3.0 omg mod 302amkw s/n to892903. While out on the water I lost all electrical power to the boat. What I mean by boat is the gauges, lights, and switch. I can jump the starter posts and it will crank. I got it to run to the boat ramp by hot wiring but it was strange how it worked. I ran power to the coil from the battery and jumped the starter. When I took the wire off the coil everything had power. When I got it on the trailer and shut it off all the power went away. Is there a fusable link somewhere? Where should I be looking?
Thanks for any help,
Chuck

Ayuh,... My guess is, it's got corroded wiring connections somewhere....

Pull 'em apart, sand, clean, 'n reinstall 'em...

I will try that but I'm not sure that's it. I was ok for about ten minutes on the water. I hot wire started it last night. When I start it I pull the hot power wire I ran to the coil off and it keeps running and everything has power but once I shut it off with the key it looses all elect power to the front.

All connections are good. When it is running by the method above all the gauge work but the blower and nav light do not. The volt gauge sits at 16 volts while running.

Look at the main engine harness connection on the engine. It could be loose or the pins corroded.

Thanks everyone. I found someone local that could help. It was a 50 amp fuse on the back of the motor.
