ok i am at the end of my rope here . i have been doing this for 10+ yrs and have run into some strange things . i have a 96 sugar sand with a 120 force jet drive . uhggg i know. runs great in a striaght line and when turned to the left but if you turn it right it seems like it drops 2 clys . replaced fule line , carbs are clean , new sep filter , new fuel pick up , plugs , and rebuilt fuel pump , fuel tank is 100% clean and full with fresh fuel . not that it has anything to do with it but comp is 150-160 psi . i swear its fuel related but i may be wrong , i never seen electrical to cause this problem when in a turn , but i checked for mis routed wires any way . its running the cdm type ignition systems and that all checks out , plenty of fuel pressure too , float levels are good . i am diagnosed out here guys so chime in anytime thanks . and of course the flywheel magnets have come unglued but i have seen that countless times with no big issues . new wheel is coming

Unplug the canon plug, ign key ON, lanyard plugged IN, Ohm's test kill wire in Main Harness, should Zero out, watch as you turn the motor hard right turn, see if there is ANY hint of continuity, grounding and attempting to kill ignition. Possibly a chaffed wire in the harness at the bend by the motor.

I once had a Harley that missed a few beats in hard right turns, it was a broken ignition feed in the harness bend around the neck.

unhooked the kill feed at the engine , same situation . it will sputter a bit while going straight if i sit on the right side of the boat , small boat 250lbs guy , it leans a bit lol . if i sit on theleft or middle its fine . i did notice the charge wires ' 2 yellows ' are getting very hot but not melting , thats almost normal . tach lead has also been unhooked . pisses me off it is one of the most simplepower heads ever built . i take a certian pride over doing my diags and test unlike most dealerships that just throw parts at it , in the end it will be a simple problem and a lesson will be learned , i have never sent one away from not being able to fix it

Sounds electrical to me. Did you check the weather pack connections to be sure they are connected. Not easy to pull apart. How about the battery is it tight in it's holder. What about the seat is it rubbing on something when you sit on the right side. When you make a right turn everything is shifting to the left might be pulling a connection on the right side apart or pinching one on the left side. Can you ride this without the seat or with no pressure on the seat?

Harleys will start to miss if the battery is weak. Might want to try a new battery. Did you check the fluid in the battery?

A wire somewhere is flexing during your right turns, you just have to look a lot closer to find it.

Does the steering cable house shift position in a hard turn? Is any wire moved, rubbed, or pushed by the housing?

Is this motor mounted inboard with a fixed mounted pump, steering just swinging a nozzle?

Or is it an outboard with the pump kit in place of the lower unit?
The main harness has substantial 'flex' in hard turns. Ohm that kill wire while flexing any and all wiring.

I spliced that broken wire in the harness on my Harley, where it 'flexed' at the neck, some 30 odd years ago, hasn't re-occurred (yet) if it does, I know exactly where to start looking.
