No, changing carbs will only cause you problems now, and down the road.
It takes a lot more to increase power on a 2 stroke, than just adding more gas.
Timing, porting, intakes, exhausts, simply not worth the hassle, and the results won't be there.
You may already be overpropped, so increasing pitch will bog you down and lug the engine.
But reducing the pitch may help your holeshot, but decrease speed.
You should go to the prop forum and learn the basics of prop selection.

You will need a bigger motor if you want that boat to perform well.
There are lots of Mercs, Evinrudes, Johnsons, and Yamahas from the 80's and 90's that would do wonders for you.
