I have 40 horse power evinrude motor. The serial number is 03357. What year is this motor? Is it worth anything.

Any motor running or not is worth quite a bit, just the lower unit is worth a couple hundred if it is in good shape.

With Mercury the serial number determines everything with Johnson/Evinrude it is model number.

I wouldn't say its worth quite a bit until I knew what model it is. 1960's OMC 40 hp motors aren't worth anything where I am. I see lots of fellas having trouble trying to get $200 for them.
