Movie buffs, I want to watch a boat movie, preferably action (seen Live and Let Die recently). There's lots of car and bike movies around but what about boats?

Good one, Bear. I liked Hard Rain, too. Saw the end of it by accident and kept watch on the TV until it came on again and I could see all of it. Good movie involving watercraft. Randy Quaid is always good, too.

Vampire in Brooklyn

Eddie Murphy movie. LOVE the beginning! Big old freighter comes plowing into the shore, right through, first a mooring boat, then a marina and there's a boat that looks just like my 46' Constellation getting all busted up. Great scene need to get a clip of that for my archives. Wish they'd film a movie around here, and need a boat to destroy, I got just the baby for em......

Man, that boat chase in Live and Let Die was great. I saw that a few weeks past, I had forgotten about it. You can always count on Bond for boat action though. The World Is Not Enough had some fun boat action at the beginning. Italian job was pretty fun too. There was a campy made-for-tv movie a few years back on USA channel called Cabin By The Lake that feature Judd Nelson as a serial killer. Lots of boat/body dumping action. Lake Placid, another stellar gem, but good to pass some time had plenty of boatin'.

Mutiny on the Bounty, x,xx has the best boat scenes I've ever seen, at the end of the movie. Pirates of the Caribbean. Nice boat in On Golden Pond. Perfect Storm (already mentioned by nosleep)

Re: Boat movies

I remember reading that the boat jump in "Live and Let Die" was the longest out-of -water jump at that time. Don't know whether it still holds the record or not. Good boat scenes.
