Re: Boat Names

Hi Wes<br /><br />I feel your pain brother. I don't think I've ever been called a wise mariner but I'll try to help with your dilema. You don't say what your main boating activity is, like fishing or cruising or sigt seeing, etc. But here goes anyways, trying to be original.<br /><br />"Cherry Mary"<br />"Name Goes Here"<br />"My Other Mistress"<br />"Somthin's Fishy"<br />"Marital Bliss"<br />"Got Fish?"<br />"Tough 2 Love"<br />"Heartbreaker"<br />"Honey, Please!"<br />"Momma Warned Me"<br />"Devil May Care"<br />"Fishin' Folly"<br />"Over Bored"<br /><br />If I can think of some more I'll post em.

Re: Boat Names

Primarily use it for pleasure cruising. It is a 19 1/2 foot runabout. I think I have decided to name it 'Blissfull Thinking'. I am sure that name is already in use but it ain't being used on my boat so it will do. I guess I am comparing it to the thought of wishfull thinking. You know when you wish things are gonna be a certain way but you know they usually don't happen that way :) Kinda like I am wishing for a blissfull ride but it wont happen :) <br /><br />Wes

Re: Boat Names

I think I'm going to put "Squizz" on the back of my boat. Happens to be my favorite radio station... and it's fun to make people say "squizz" :D

Originally posted by Chopper Doc:<br /> Well I have a wife. Dont know for how long though. She doesn't really like my boat though. I thought about naming the boat after my wife but my wife really doesn't deserve the compliment and my boat may possibly wear it as an insult in later days, who knows. My wifes name is Sharie Marie. First and middle name. Of course it is just a boat that has indeed given me trouble just as my wife has. And I do love my wife even though she doesn't love me. I like my boat too but sometimes I think my boat doesn't like me back....It's a hard choice for sure. Maybe the boat is indeed a wise move as it can only **** me off but it will never break my heart. Maybe it is indeed like a woman, you think you are making the right move but in the end you are not? Dayum dude. I will have to drink a lot before this is all sorted out. Maybe I should just name my boat 'all sorted out'? It's tough ain't it?<br /><br />I now hope I get responses to this post with good advise from wise mariners.<br /><br />Thanks,<br /><br />Wes
I had someone tell me once, "If it floats, flys, of f***s, it's gonna give you trouble."

Re: Boat Names

My brother works for a national saltwater fishing show, and they were leaving out of Miami for a shoot and passed a large orange cigarette boat with a bevey of topless women on board. The name of the boat was "Ho Depot"

Re: Boat Names

We have a Panamanian friend who was going out on<br /> my cousins pontoon boat, and was complaining that she hated the water and couldn't swim and now she had to go out on this "damned pontuna boat".<br /> so last year when we bought our first pontoon boat, the first thing we did was name her "The Pontuna Boat". <br /> I also have a 1997 starcaft 1810ss that I have had for about 6 years with no name, but am considering "Livin' The Dream".<br /> R.J. Re: Boat Names

I fish out of Stinhatchee Fl.in the Gulf of Mexico. When I'm fishing I only want the fish to do one thing so I named my 18ft Offshore Polar.. "Bite Me"

Re: Boat Names

Guitar is my other hobby so on the back of my boat I have a vinyl decal of a sea foam green Fender Telecaster with the words "Powered by Mercaster", with "Mercaster" printed in the familiar Mercruiser slant. About 8 out of 10 think I spelled Mercruiser wrong but the other 2 think it's pretty cool.

One I remember as a kid down at the marina. It had an enormous out drive:<br /><br />"Myasis Dragon"

Re: Boat Names

In memory of my dad and the old Wuachita bass boat that we had when I was a kid, I named my bass boat "Bite My Worm II". My buddy likes the name so much that he wants to know his 19' center console Trophy, that we go salt water fishing in, "Suck My Squid". Rest in peace dad, miss you!

Re: Boat Names

My fishing boat is named "BITE ME". I have a '78 ski boat with a 115 merc. I am restoring it after I bought it for $1. Still looking for a name for this one. ALSO I was deep sea fishing in Pensicola Fla a while ago and went out on the "WET DREAMS"

Re: Boat Names

Since I was a tot my family owned an old mahogany Chris-craft, purchased new. It always had the family name in gold lettering across the rounded transom "ROSS". <br /><br />I purchased the Silverton as a fixer-upper and my dad stopped by frequently to see if it was ready to launch so he could go for a ride, but being as old as he was did not live long enough. It took me four years as I worked many hours at my regular job in addition to the fact that I could not afford to discard things as opposed to repairing them.<br /><br />I named the boat "Mr. Ross" in honor of him and an artist friend of mine made a ghost-like hat and cane off to the side of the name so he is always with us.

Re: Boat Names

my buddy just pick up an abandoned boat that has been sitting since 99. No motor, outdrive, or controlls. The name on the side is Money Pit. Fitting I think.
