Well I'm from a red state and I like my democratic senator (Ben Nelson) much better than my republican senator (Chuck Hagel). But I am a conservative, I like what Rush has to say and agree with him most of the time, the same goes for Ann Coulter and Michelle Malcan (sp) , believe is smaller government, against abortion, fiscal responsibility, yep I'm a Republican.

My beliefs.
I work, thus I eat and have a place to reside.
You don't work, tough. Oh let's see, you're "disabled" From what? You wanted to have fun as a youth and quit school. Too bad. You liked sex and had 3 kids out of wedlock. Too bad. You like drugs and alcohol so much that you can't work. Too bad.

You're old and infirm.Where are you're kids or brothers and sisters? Too bad

Guess all that makes me a Democrat????

Nope, I think that takes you closer to a republican. The democrats would want to pay for all those you said "To bad" to.

Well so much for guessing T2F . . .

I have promised a few here that I would register Republican, but I have been undeclared since my first election at 18. I used to think that was the right way to be. Swing with the breeze etc. No I am convinced Party line is the way to get the most out of your vote. I have voted 100% Republican for probably 15 years or more.

We basically have two choices, the Dangerous Party and the Stupid one. I go with the Stupid one.

Yeah I took the same test and it placed me just right of Milton Friedman.
I was pretty proud of that.

But i don't like dangerous or stupid partys. My wife and I have been registered American Independent party since '92.

Thanks Boom, but not my line, it's Dennis Prager's (at least that's where I heard it). Interesting compromises. Skinnywater puts his vote with a Party with no (or very little) current influence. I compromise, but get something, some sway, some power. Seems like both of our choices are a little hollow. Maybe Skinny's compromise is more honorable . . .

Seemingly hollow or maybe honorable......?

I'm a "fixer" by trade and habit, so I don't embrace or accept things well that prefer to stay broke.

One of the hardest things for me to kick is hypocracy, but I keep trying.

The concept of simply compromising for "sway, or power" hurts my head.

It would be a whole lot easier and I would be whole lot better liked if I just repeated and gave kudos to what everyone here says politically.
That would be hollow.

Which reminds me........did you ever check this out?

Re: boat owners politics point blank

interesting. it seems that most are going for the middle or are free of this kinda lable.....myself. i'm regisetered a dem. that don't like my dem. senetor ben nelson. but do like our rep. senetor chuck hagel.....go figure i guess. it would be nice if there were more support for the independents. as it would probably be the best of both worlds...a compromise even......
great comments folks.....
