Re: Boat Paint?

I believe Lowes carries Valspar. Can't go to cheap or it won't stick.;)

stay away from latex (for now). Not many people have experience using it on boats around here, so the verdict's still out.

Oil based exterior should work. Lots of folks have had good results with Rustoleum by the quart or gallon, and it's fairly cheap. Most anyone will tell you that any paint job is only as good as the prep job beforehand.

Spray paint will be hard to get even on that large of area unless its sprayed with a gun.
Something cheap would be Valspar industrial paint.Sold at Lowes.
Rolled on with a closed cell roller it will look good.
You could step up to the Interlux paints but then your getting into the 100 bucks a gallon or more.

Re: Boat Paint?

I am going to be using acrylic enamel on the fiberglass work I did on my jet ski. I just found the finest paint brush I could get. It won't matter too much because its the very bottom but I will still know its there.
