here are some pics. What can anyone identify here as far as make or size?
looks like OMC out drive?
Maybe Volvo motor?
the outdrive has a bolt hole on the top center. Is that for a grease fitting?
Bolt holes on the water jacket manifolds are for the drain plugs?
I have a lot of questions....

thanks for any help

That's an OMC 3.8L which is a Buick motor IIRC... Total money pit. Everything there is NLA.

So, if anything needs to be replaced, there are no replacement parts available.
If it runs, which is what I'm hoping, I guess we could get some enjoyment out of it. If not, abandon the idea of restoration?
The floor does need to be replaced. New carpet, New seats etc are needed.
Money pit I know but what boat is not?
The only boat I have ever owned before this, was the exact same motor and outdrive and I had years of enjoyment out of it and the people I sold it to did as well.
At his point, I have $150 invested in the boat and Rebel trailer. Plus $100 for a new battery.
Still not much to lose to see if it can be brought back to life.?
