well its Monday, just came in from stripping interior of boat !!!!!! @#$%$#@%^^&*&**&, hope I can say that on here. someone says to stand on motor if it moves in any way transom bad ! tried it I weigh 285 , the whole boat moved so hop it is okay, still looks solid inside of transom. get rest of floor out tomorrow and I will know fro sure. just wondering if the 3.0 cobra can be built, yu know hot rod style. I am not a mechanic but what the heck. might not be able to do mtor this year , we will see how she runs and if motor is bad might as well rebuild, and if I rebuild why not juice thiat baby up. ????

hey just wanted to say welcome to iboats. I am new here as well, got a rebuild I am doing too, your interior looked a lot like mine. well good luck with your build.

what to do to prep engine before trying to start ? been sitting for 2 1/2 to 3 yrs. it has half tank gas put in some sea-foam sofar had new distributer cap plugs, points? plug wires gud ones, fuel pump,some other things. anyway, was running good when parked. had cracked exhaust manifold, it was supposed to have been repaired ? owner brought it home parked it,he got new boat ,his wife got tired of it in yard, he was fixin to trash it. said I could have it if I hauled it away. so here I begin. anyway !! back to startin this baby.

can anyone send me a wiring diagram for 88 stratos 1700 xl 3.0 cobra ? ordered repair manual but wont be here for couple weeks. cant wait , help. when I get book I send help back out. thanks everyone.
