When I finally get my boat all fixed up... I am thinking about reupholstering the boat. The seats & the floor.

My floor:

Would this upholstery work for the floor?

Double sided-seats:

The seat upholstery I want to use is:

Re: Boat Reupholstery

Alot Of Times With Boats When It Comes To Upholstery It Comes To A Question Of If The Seats Need Upholstered Then More Than Likely The Wood Structure Of The Seats Will Have Some Rot And Is It Worth Puting New Fabric Over Bad Structure Or Should You Just Buy New Seats. A Good Place To Look For This Stuff Is Greatlakesskipper.com They Have Fabric And Used And New Seats I Have Bought From Them Before With Good Luck If Your Looking To Do It Cheap And Still Want New Seats Walmart.com Has Them Cheap. As Far As Buying The Carpet Go Wide You Can Always Trim Off But You Cannot Add And Look Good.

My 2 cents is i would not putpadded vinyl on the floor. If you are looking inexpensive i would go marine carpet

ditto.....no padded vinal on the deck......

the first stuff is ok.....i was shocked it is sold close to me....40 mins away....im going to have to drive there......

as far as the deck....i think you are thinking of another product.....cant remember the name right now....my brain is stuck....kinda like lineolium....but its not.

carpet is a common choice.....even exterior carpet has been used with limited sucess...(approx 5 years)

Either Nautolex or Marine carpet on the floor, or maybe some marine vinyl flooring like the pimple mat used in some newer Bayliners.

I'm not a big fan of padded vinyl anywhere on a boat, the foam backing or padding tends to rot or dry out with time and the upholstery loses its look.

Like mentioned above, the wood in the seats is probably as bad as the upholstery.

Would the marine, rubber backed carpet from Lowe's work well???? Anyone used this. I was looking at an outdoor carpet there until i noticed the marine carpet, although the marine has a deeper pile to it than the other??? Thought it may hold water worse.

yes the marine carpet from lowes works well i have had it in two of my boat just remember it comes in two widths get the wider of the two and if you look they can order different colors for you. some people may say its cheap stuff but my personal opinion of it is it is good stuff just dont use to much glue and then press it down hard i did that once and it came right through the carpet.

is the Lowes Marine carpet cheap?

I'm looking to make this project as cheap and easy as possible.

there is nothing cheap about owning a boat. all you can do is shop wise.

I have been kicking around the idea of using Herculiner truck bed liner for the floor of my boat project. Its tough as nails, easy to use, and comes in lots of colors. Even white.
